Welcome, teacher!

Please complete the form below to apply for Salmon Watch 2024-2025.

There are a limited number of field trips available this fall, and depending on number of applications, there may be some spillover into the springtime. Submitting an application does not guarantee access to a field trip. Applications will be considered based on several factors, including:

  • Our organization’s diversity, equity and inclusion goals
  • Economic need of school
  • School’s student demographics
  • Rural status
  • Educator commitment to incorporate curriculum and Service Learning Project

Our goal is to get as many students on field trips as possible, with special focus on students who have historically been left out of green spaces and environmental education. At this time, we are capping two field trips max per educator, although we are willing to work with teachers if there are extenuating circumstances. If we have the capacity to fulfill more, you will be notified.

Participation in Salmon Watch has three main components:

  1. Curriculum
  2. Field Trip
  3. Service Learning Project

Applications close May 14th, 2024. If you need assistance filling out the form or an extension for the deadline, please reach out to our Program Manager, Makayla Simmer, at [email protected].

Approved field trips will be notified by May 31st to finalize trip planning and coordination.

We look forward to working with you! Thank you for applying.
