Our second week of field trips to the Salmon and Zigzag Rivers were filled with sunny weather, hands-on learning & data collection, and plenty of fish to be seen!
We’ve already had the opportunity to read feedback from students who went out on a field trip this month. Every student was able to provide information they learned from all 4 field trip stations.
When asked about what someone can do personally to help keep our watersheds healthy, Maili had a spot-on response:
“I think one of the most simple and significant things you can do is be aware. Knowing about why its important and even what role rivers, streams, etc play in your own life is crucial in motivating you to not litter/do other detrimental things to the river. This field trip definitely brought all of these factors to my attention and I appreciate the knowledge that I gained.”
